Bolton v Bristol City match preview

Friday night sees Bolton take on Bristol City in front of the Sky Sports cameras at the Macron Stadium.

Bolton’s form has picked up in recent weeks and we go into the game looking to increase our unbeaten home run in the league to three games against 4th placed Bristol City in what looks to be a very tricky fixture and could see Bristol move into the automatic promotion spots.

If the Whites are to pull off an unlikely result and pull further away from the drop zone they will have to stop the likes of Gary O’Neill, Marlon Pack and the clubs top scorer Bobby Reid, who has 12 league goals so far this season.

If Bolton front man Gary Madine is sold by the time kick off comes (UPDATE: THIS HAS HAPPENED), it could potentially mean a start for ex Bristol forward Aaron Wilbraham, who was a fan’s favourite at Ashton Gate.

The last time the two sides met Bolton were defeated 2-0 so the Trotters will be hoping they can set the record straight on Friday. Please get down to the Macron if you can and support the boys.

Jen’s preferred starting 11:

Alnwick, Little, Robinson, Beevers, Wheater, Henry, Derik, Vela, Ameobi, Madine, Le Fondre

Aaron’s preferred starting 11:

Alnwick, Little, Robinson, Beevers, Wheater, Henry, Vela, Derik, Ameobi, Noone, Madine

Jen predicts a 2-1 defeat.

Aaron predicts a 3-2 defeat.
